另一张照片中，施先生的脸显然要成熟得多，稳重得多。金丝眼镜后面是一双和蔼，大度的眼，眼前的一切悲喜都那么的轻描谈写了，一切的功名都如云烟来去自然了，正因为如此，与后人对视的是一双和善而无欲的眼。中山装的风纪扣平整的扣着，第二颗纽扣间插着一支水笔，那是文化人的标致，上衣口袋中挂着怀表，表链扣在里面那件白色衬衫中，这就是民国期间，一位先生的派头。据一些曾领略过施先生当年风采的老人讲，当年施先生的风度那还了得，平时手握文明杖，头戴圆形的小毡帽，在谈话间常会自然地转成满口的英语。施先生在文革中的经历，从旧照片就可知一二了，看这些旧照片，或许，我们更需要的反思，而不只是怀旧。
